How to Wire Artwork
The Garfield Park Arts Center requires all 2D artwork to have a wire installed. We use a hanging system
that has artwork hanging from hooks.

GPAC hanging system uses hooks!
Installing wire on your artwork is easy and inexpensive, and much more reliable than using sawtooth hangers or other flimsy hardware that sometimes comes pre-installed on picture frames.

We recommend installing D-rings and using heavy duty picture hanging
wire. You can find these at any store with a hardware section.

The D-rings are easily installed with a screwdriver, and the wire should be looped around the ring and wrapped several times around itself.
